How does a Raspberry Pi help to Green the World?

By placing only 100 Pi’s in different households, we can buy an estimate of 480 trees per year! Now you might be wondering how. It works like this: by sharing your unused bandwidth through a Raspberry Pi, Foresteer is able to exchange this for funds to buy new trees. We exchange the bandwidth at the following providers. What do I need to participate? 

  • A stable Internet connection
  • A free port on your modem/router
  • A free electrical outlet
  • Around 20 to 50 Mbps of speed
  • Usage of around 1GB per day
