About this Location

Isedda Overview

Isedda is the largest landholding currently associated with Green Spot Siwa. The property was acquired in two separate purchases and covers approximately 328 hectares (782 feddan), making it by far the largest location within the project portfolio.

The acquisition of Isedda was funded by private investor Marcel Jong and his company Access2.IT as part of the long-term vision to secure sufficient land for the future expansion of Green Spot Siwa.

The local Egyptian company Marcelia Al Salam is responsible for the management and administration of the location.

Strategic Land Reserve

Unlike some of the other Green Spot locations that are actively being developed, Isedda currently serves as a strategic land reserve.

The land remains undeveloped and unplanted, with no infrastructure, agricultural operations, or construction activities currently taking place.

Its size provides significant future potential for agriculture, forestry, biodiversity projects, renewable energy initiatives, or future Green Spot expansion. However, the current focus of Green Spot Siwa is concentrated on locations where development can be implemented more efficiently and where infrastructure already exists or can be developed more quickly.

Current Status

At this stage, no active development is planned for Isedda.

The current priority is to focus available resources, investments, and operational capacity on the development of other locations within Green Spot Siwa, including Marcelia Farm & Eco-Village, Marigold, and Amadal.

Because of this strategic focus, Isedda may be offered for sale to farmers, agricultural investors, or other parties interested in developing land in the area.

If a sale takes place, the proceeds would be used to accelerate the development of the active Green Spot locations and support the continued growth of the Foresteer mission in Siwa Oasis.

Future Possibilities

While a potential sale is currently being considered, no final decision has been made.

As a result, several future scenarios remain possible:

  • Retaining the land for future Green Spot expansion
  • Developing agricultural projects on the land
  • Establishing forestry or biodiversity initiatives
  • Partnering with external investors
  • Selling part or all of the land to support other Green Spot developments

The final direction will depend on available resources, strategic priorities, market conditions, and the long-term needs of Green Spot Siwa.

Looking Ahead

Isedda represents both opportunity and flexibility.

Although the land is currently undeveloped, its size and location make it a valuable asset within the broader Green Spot Siwa portfolio. Whether it becomes part of a future expansion phase or is sold to help finance other Green Spot developments, Isedda continues to play an important role in supporting the long-term vision of transforming land into productive, sustainable, and environmentally beneficial landscapes.

The future of Isedda remains open, allowing decisions to be made based on what best supports the growth and success of Green Spot Siwa.
