Plant Trees with Internet Bandwidth

With a 1000 participants we can buy between 20.000 and 500.000 trees per year!

Examples of Raspberry Pi’s

By connecting one of our Raspberry Pi’s to your modem you can share bandwidth that you don’t normally use anyway. Foresteer is able to exchange this unused bandwidth for funds to buy trees.

How does a Raspberry Pi help to Green the World?

By placing only 100 Pi’s in different households, we can buy an estimate of 5.000 trees in the first year and 13.00 in the second year! Now you might be wondering how. It works like this: by sharing your unused bandwidth through a Raspberry Pi, Foresteer is able to exchange this for funds to buy new trees. We exchange the bandwidth at the following providers. We invest and pay for the Raspberry Pi. We hope that participants help to buy  and donatie a Pi for this activity. So we can have more funds available for buying trees.

The power consumption is very low. A USB power adapter of no more than 5 watts is used. The average 2.5 watts.
